Social Workers

Grade 7 Local pay point 30 - 35. Salary £34,196 - £38,789

Are you ready for an exciting new challenge? Then join the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Children’s Services.

We take great pride in the work we do and place children and families at the heart of every decision we make. We are looking for individuals who share our passion to meet the needs of our children and families.

We have remodelled the way we deliver social work services and invite applications for newly qualified Social Worker positions in our:

  • Children in Need / Child Protection teams
  • Transitions Team (14+ Leaving Care)
  • Looked After Children Team
  • Adoption Team
  • Fostering Team.

You will have:

  • A strong commitment to working directly with children and families to ensure that their voices are heard and their needs are met
  • The ability to be able to work with colleagues and deliver evidence-based approaches within your practice
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organisation skills
  • The ability to work with partners and other agencies
  • Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC) registration.
